The 2012 BioProcess International Awards recognizes the outstanding products, services, decisions, business ventures, and individuals that define the very best of what the biopharmaceutical industry has to offer.
The awards are categorized by the three pillars of bioprocessing: Upstream Processing, Downstream Processing, and Manufacturing. Each pillar will recognize four distinct individual awards: Technology of the Decade (supplier based); Technological Application of the Decade (end-user based); Collaboration of the Decade; and Thought Leader of the Decade.

In 2012, BioProcess International celebrates its 10th anniversary, which creates the perfect platform to recognize and showcase the technologies, the partnerships, and the people who have made incredible advances and breakthroughs over this critical decade, said Brian Caine, BPIs creator and publisher. The 2012 BioProcess International Awards provides the industry with a collective opportunity to reflect on and honor the groundbreaking technologies and brilliant scientists that carried the biopharmaceutical industry through this critical period, allowed it to flex its scientific muscle and deliver on its original promise to create a new generation of therapeutics and treatments that have improved the quality and longevity of human health.
Nominations for the 2012 BioProcess International Awards are open through March 30, 2012. All nominations will be evaluated and judged by a select group of industry experts, then submitted to an independent auditing firm for ranking.Three finalists for each award will be announced on May 15.
Award winners and runner-ups will be announced in June 2012. BPIs special June 2012 supplement, A Decade of BioProcess, will feature exclusive interviews with and perspectives of award winners and finalists.
